Our DECEMBER Mission will benefit Pets for Patriots.  Pets for Patriots helps United States military veterans adopt a new pet friend while giving the most overlooked shelter dogs and cats loving homes. They offer veterans various benefits to promote the human-animal bond, reduce surrender back to shelters, and make lifetime pet guardianship more affordable. The JANUARY Mission will benefit The Joan Nicole Prince Home (JNP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides bedside care to two terminally ill individuals at the end of life, free of charge. Our Home is run independently under Schenectady Community Home Inc., we are not a medical facility, but aim to provide an alternative treatment setting for individuals in their final days. Our Home provides bedside care in a homelike environment, with individual bedrooms, bathrooms, a laundry room, kitchen, living room, and spacious backyard. In addition to services provided by the local Hospice Organization, trained volunteers and staff provide 24/7 personal bedside care to residents. Volunteers also complete basic everyday tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning, all while becoming “surrogate families” and providing emotional support to residents and their loved ones.
