Gift Card Collection for Christmas Toy Store

Posted on

The NRC Women’s Fellowship Group and Mission & Service Committee are joining with a number of other local churches to collect Toys and Gift Cards that the parents of local migrant families and asylum seekers can select for their children at a City Mission-hosted Toy Store.  We hope that this will help to make their first Christmas among us a special one.  NRC will focus on providing gift cards while other churches will be collecting toys, games, puzzles and such.

Through our Election Day Bake Sale and a Donation from the Mission & Service Committee, Niskayuna Reformed Church has already raised funds for about 40 gift cards ($25.00 denomination).

If you would like to donate toward this gift card fund, please do so by making out a check to Niskayuna Reformed Church and note “Refugee Collection” in the Memo Line, or purchase and donate gift cards.

Gift Cards should be in the amount of $25.00 each, please  (Walmart, Visa, Hannaford, Cumberland Farms are preferred)

You can bring your checks or gift cards to the church office, or put them in the black lockbox on the wall outside the office on the upper level of the Education Building, or in the lockbox just outside the green kitchen door.  Please include a note on the envelope, indicating that it should go toward the Refugee Toy Store, so as not to confuse it with the Angel Tree collection.

Deadline:  Noon on Monday, December 11.
Drop off Monday-Thursday from 9 am – 3 pm when the Education Building doors will be open

Thank you for sharing your many blessings!
