MoonCatcher Project Meets at NRC

Posted on

The NRC Women’s Fellowship Group hosted the third annual MoonCatcher Bee on Tuesday evening, September 25.  NRC joined together with other women (including a few of their daughters) from the broader community to work on making reusable, washable menstrual kits for girls in countries of the world, such as areas of Africa and India, where such products are not widely available, or affordable.  Accessibility to these kits allows the girls to stay in school on all days of the month, giving them a greater chance of completing their educations and living a better life.

When asked why they support the work of the MoonCatcher Project, many women mentioned how blessed they are to have easy access to such supplies and how much it means to them to be able to help other girls and women in this way.

Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in this valuable, and enjoyable, initiative!
