Summer Sunday School Week #3

Posted on

Summer Sunday School 2017 will continue this week with a lesson on Manna and Quail from Exodus 16.

We all experience times of wilderness in our lives, chapters of our story when we’re confused, sad, angry and afraid.  These are periods of time when we can feel distant from God and alone in our struggle.  In these times of uncertainty, we often understandably begin to think of our own protection.  God has a different way, but the Israelites were no different in the wilderness after they fled from Egypt.  As they wandered and searched, they became afraid and, going against God’s clear instructions, took matters into their own hands.  This lesson offers an opportunity to reflect on our responses awaiting God’s care and protection and how God, no matter the circumstances, is ever-faithful in providing for us.

Children from age 4 – high school are welcome to join the lesson in Room 103/104 following the Junior Sermon.  Then, don’t forget about the Ice Cream Social at Coffee Hour following Sunday School!
