Summer Sunday School ends August 12

Posted on

The children have enjoyed the latest two lessons about the Parables of Jesus that we’ve been learning about during this year’s Summer Sunday School.

On July 29, they learned from the parable of the Great Banquet that God invites all kinds of people to become part of his Kingdom and that we should follow his example.  All of those in the Kingdom of God, no matter how different, are also so much the same.  Thanks to Mrs. van Pelt for leading the lesson and Mrs. Rizzi for assisting.  The children learned a new song and were invited to a banquet where everyone celebrated together.

On August 5, in the parable of the Prodigal (Lost) Son, the children learned that Jesus teaches us to love and to forgive each other the way God loves and forgives us, no matter what.  This is not always something we like to do, but we learned that we can count on Jesus to help us with this and that forgiving others brings us joy.  Thanks to Mrs. O’Brien for teaching the lesson and Mrs. Rizzi for assisting.

The final lesson of Summer Sunday School 2018 will be on :
